Hand & Wrist Surgery
Precision Diagnosis. Modern Reconstruction. Restoring Reliable Function.
Hand and wrist problems can have a major impact on daily life. Pain, weakness, numbness, stiffness, instability, or loss of dexterity can affect work, sport, hobbies, sleep, and even simple everyday tasks.
Some conditions develop gradually through wear, repetitive loading, arthritis, tendon irritation, or nerve compression. Others occur suddenly after falls, sporting injuries, fractures, tendon injuries, or more complex trauma.
The hand and wrist are highly specialised structures made up of multiple small joints, ligaments, tendons, nerves, and moving parts working together with remarkable precision. Because of this complexity, careful diagnosis is essential. The same MRI finding or x-ray appearance can mean very different things depending on symptoms, examination findings, stability, movement patterns, and functional demands.
Many conditions improve with splinting, therapy, injections, activity modification, or time. Where surgery is appropriate, the aim is to restore reliable function, reduce pain, improve stability, and allow confident use of the hand and wrist again.
I assess and treat a wide range of hand and wrist conditions, including:
- Ulnar-sided wrist pain
- Wrist instability
- TFCC injuries
- Scapholunate (SL) ligament injuries
- Scaphoid fractures and nonunion
- Thumb base arthritis
- Wrist arthritis
- Tendon injuries and reconstruction
- Nerve compression syndromes
- Dupuytren’s disease
- Fractures and post-traumatic deformity
- Complex reconstruction and revision surgery
